Website & Donation Form Redesign
Alzheimer Society of Toronto
The Alzheimer Society of Toronto needed to refresh their website with a more fluid navigation structure that would engage their audience to donate more easily. The site needed to be clean and visual with a priority of creating a donation, but also a focus on promoting programs, support services and events. Alzheimer Toronto also wanted a website that was easy to update and maintain with limited ongoing support from consultants.
We approached this project with a team that wanted the results to benefit the overall fundraising and marketing strategy of the Alzheimer Society of Toronto, creating long term relationships with donors and patients. The first step was identifying their target audiences through stakeholder interviews, constituent surveys and a review of Google Analytics. After the exercise it was apparent that patients seeking help and programs (or friends and family of) were the main audience hitting the site. Together with the Alzheimer Society we organized the navigation and the content on the homepage for this key audience.
With the use of a sticky-navigation and a highlighted donate button, we were able to appeal to their main audience, while consistently reminding the user how they can help. As a local-community based organization, we incorporated the blog on the homepage to bring a local and approachable feel to the organization. We also updated their Luminate Online and TeamRaiser pages with basic styling – this allows them to easily edit and duplicate forms and other pages as needed for upcoming campaigns. Even though we employed much of the out-of-the-box functionality for their forms, we were still able to highlight monthly giving on their form as a clear call to action. Overall, these updates were a great improvement for the Alzheimer Society of Toronto and we look forward to their continued success.
